Superior Energy Performance

关于我们

We are mission driven not product driven. Resilient Buildings Group provides customized consulting services to reduce your energy costs, improve the comfort and durability of your building, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As a third-party we do not endorse specific products or services. Our approach is to find comprehensive, integrated, cost-effective solutions for each client and each building. Our clients call us about their high energy bills, comfort or air quality issues, mechanical equipment problems, new technologies, renewable energy systems, and assistance finding financial incentives. Most of the buildings we work in are 10,000-250,000 square feet of space and project costs range between $300,000 – $50 million. We work in retail and office buildings, multifamily buildings, health clubs, schools and municipal buildings, heated warehouses and manufacturing facilities, some very unique buildings, and some very ordinary buildings. Whether your building is on the Historic Register or is about to be built, we can help you make it perform better. RBG collaborates with some of the best building professionals in the region. We are happy to work with your team to optimize your project – costs, schedule, products, innovative solutions – or we can help select a team that matches your needs and is appropriate for your project vision.

  • Benchmarking your building, as described below, can be done using Excel templates and workbooks or by creating an Energy Star Portfolio Manager account and uploading your data. Have a suspicion that you have higher energy use than you should? Don't have the data to back it up? RBG can review your historic energy use data and benchmark your building to help you get a clear picture.

Occupational Hazard Alert: Kaitlin and I have been hard at work bringing our 1906 duplex into the 21st century. While granite countertops and shiny kitchen appliances might catch the eye of most, I told her from the beginning—my focus would be on making the house weather-tight and efficient. Through three major projects (and a lot of 'putsin'), we’ve made that vision a reality: 1. Solar Installation – Powered by Grateful Electric Completed Today! Huge thanks to Austin and Zach at Grateful Electric for installing a 19-panel, 8.075 kW solar system using 425W panels and Enphase microinverters. Their expertise made the process seamless. 2. Whole-House Weatherization – A Christmas Gift for the Duplex Completed December 2024. This project was led by Resilient Buildings Group, Inc. on behalf of NHSaves. Big shout-out to Tori and Andy at RBG for their leadership and to Newell Crathern for executing the work. The improvements made a massive difference in efficiency and comfort. 3. Oil-to-Natural Gas Furnace Conversion – The DIY Challenge Completed January 2024. This was a labor of love (and sweat!) as I tackled the installation myself with help from my good friend and colleague, Aerik K. We replaced an aging 120k BTU, 85% efficient oil furnace with an 80k BTU, 98% efficient, fully modulating natural gas system. (And yes, we future-proofed it by installing an evaporator coil for a future heat pump.) These projects have been a labor of love, and while it takes dedication to see them through, working with the best teams and professionals made all the difference. Here’s to a more sustainable and efficient 21st-century home—one project at a time!

RBG is a team of incredible employees?who enjoy what they do and show it. The work we do assists families and businesses in reducing their carbon footprint and reducing energy costs.” How do you see the building science or sustainability industry evolving over the next 10 years? “ELECTRIFICATION BABY! This is the future?of energy efficiency and the only way to save the world from our spiraling climate hazards” What is your favorite project you have worked on while with RBG? “My favorite project is putting together the sale of RBG as Chase will take over and continue the legacy of RBG. 12 years ago, RBG was an idea and now it is a reality, and I will miss coming to work every day.
