  • Meet the Team! Sara (she/her) has over 8 years of experience as our Lead Shelter Assistant. After earning her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, she discovered her true calling in helping others, thanks to a friend who encouraged her to apply for a position at our shelter. Sara is passionate about ending violence and empowering survivors to grow and thrive. Her favorite part of the job? The incredible bonds she's formed with her fellow shelter staff—who have become like family over the years. Outside of her work at shelter, you can catch Sara enjoying her favorite pastimes: reading, kayaking, and soaking up the sun at the beach. As Aunt Sara, she treasures the time spent with her loved ones. Sara’s passion and unwavering commitment to making a difference truly make her an invaluable member of our team!
