The calendar and our clocks have shifted and already we are talking about holiday events and parties. Check out our latest blog on how to create an accessible and inclusive event. ? Ensure your space is accessible (e.g. entrances, elevators, bathrooms etc.) ? Invitations and communications (give people a variety of ways to respond and make requests) ? Transportation and parking should be accessible ? Food and beverage - label foods and their contents for those with dietary restrictions. ? Accessible communications - create quiet spaces for conversation, pen and paper for sharing notes etc. ? Emergency Planning should include people with disabilities #Accessibility #Inclusion #HumanResources ID: Image of an accessible entrance sign

Forbes shares disability inclusion and neurodiversity accommodations can and should be win/win thinking in our workplaces. Ludmila Praslova, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, ?? ?? How work gets done may be in different forms. Some may need an accommodation and others may not. And that's ok. It doesn't mean the person without the accommodation loses out. ?? Success is not a zero sum game. If everyone is successful, the organization is successful. ?? Accommodations and flexibility in the workplace make our workplaces better for everyone. #BetterWorkplaces #HumanResources #DisabilityInclusion ID: A group of happy employees sitting in front of a large table. What a great day in NH! Our ME and NH management teams came together for a fantastic professional and personal growth day. We delved into critical identifiers of abuse and explored steps to keep those we love and support safe. After that, we got hands-on with a short self-defense class to empower ourselves! We wrapped up the day with some technology training. We left feeling energized and excited about all we learned! Thank you to Pat's Peak, Lorene Reagan RN, MS, and Eric Menard's Complete Martial Arts Academy for making our day totally awesome!
