Hey everyone! How’s your 2025 going? Want to talk about democratization and whether its good or bad for UX? We probably need to know more about the State of Research Democratization to talk about this with authority. So guess what? Our friends at Great Question are conducting a survey to better understand the current state of UX research democratization — the good, the bad, and everything in between. If you’re a UX Researcher or Research Operations professional, they (and we) would love for you to participate. The survey takes about 10 minutes and you’ll receive $15 for your time and insight. The results will be published in a report on Great Question’s website (all responses will remain anonymous). You can take the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eAGCK6Pt Thanks!

Have you seen the teasers Jake Burghardt is dropping on his upcoming book Stop Wasting Research, published by Rosenfeld Media. This one is going to be your most-referenced and re-read industry book ever. Do you want to really demonstrate the value of research? You'll need to show your stakeholders the vast knowledge you already have in your stores. Jake's upcoming book contains the building blocks to do just that. Knowledge is power. Power is money. Money is business. #uxr #reops #resops #uxresearch #userresearch #researchops #knowledgemanagement #researchrepos #researchrepositories
Author: Stop Wasting Research | Building new pathways for customer insights to add more value to products
Just sent newsletter with some draft Stop Wasting Research book illustrations... posting a subset of those here as well! Signup for monthly Integrating Research Update newsletter (link in comments) ... More about “Stop Wasting Research,” coming in 2025 from Rosenfeld Media: UX research, data science, market research, and other insight-generators fuel decisions in today’s product organizations. Yet many of their crucial insights fail to land with leaders and stakeholders. These insights are experienced as fleeting inspiration, becoming effectively lost in the deluge of other information and priorities. Even as tech organizations tout their use of "data" in decision making, much of their essential research languishes in low-engagement archives, failing to drive what’s next. Stop Wasting Research explores three root causes, then provides ways forward and action ideas to better integrate insights into your product planning and design practices. From preparing research communities and their outputs for extended impacts, to crafting new motivators for putting insights to use, to pushing the right touchpoints with research knowledge – Stop Wasting Research will help you enhance collaboration, amplify learning, increase research literacy, and drive customer-centered launches.
