Hello, sunshine! ?? We had the pleasure of touring Durham County Commissioners and Leadership Team members around the Hub RTP campus this week. Research Triangle Foundation of NC VP of Real Estate Carolyn Coia shared more about the office and retail tenants coming soon to Horseshoe at Hub RTP - including Genesys, Cheeni, Nanny Goat, Prime STQ and Drift Coffee & Kitchen - as well as the new mural installations, public amenities, outdoor spaces and future developments on the horizon. We’re grateful for Durham County Government’s $20M investment and strong partnership to help transform this downtown destination into a vibrant place to work, play and stay in RTP. Thank you, Durham County leaders, for taking the time to experience these progress updates first-hand alongside Carolyn, Scott Levitan and Travis Crayton, AICP. ?? Today, the Durham County Commissioners and Durham County Leadership Team visited HUB RTP off of Highway 54 and Davis Drive to get a up close look at the progress that is being made to transform RTP as a place for people to work and play. Durham County Government invested $20 million into the project and it was an impressive sight to see how these 100 acres of land are being transformed. Many exciting restaurants have already signed leases and a 15 story hotel is also being planned for the sight.

  • For the first time in its 65-year history, Research Triangle Park has centralized mail delivery services—a milestone that reflects the Park’s evolution and the power of collaboration. Historically, despite RTP’s vast size and economic impact, companies relied on a single U.S. Post Office with no direct mail delivery. This was due to RTP’s unique development model and rapid growth, which outpaced traditional infrastructure like mail routes. But today, RTP is home to more than 385 companies, 55,000 employees, and, for the first time, residents at Hub RTP’s MAA Nixie apartments—further reinforcing the need for change. Thanks to years of advocacy from North Carolina’s Congressional delegation and RTP companies, the U.S. Postal Service officially launched direct mail delivery late last year. To celebrate, RTP company representatives, Research Triangle Foundation of NC staff, elected officials and other stakeholders gathered in late January for a press conference and reception. Special remarks were delivered by Congresswoman Deborah Ross, Congresswoman Valerie Foushee, Mike Fenley on behalf of the Office of Sen. Thom Tillis, Research Triangle Foundation of NC COO Andrew Holton and VP of Planning and Public Policy Travis Crayton, AICP, and RTP Owners and Tenants Association (O&T) President Greg Luberecki. Each highlighted how this milestone strengthens essential services for RTP’s businesses, organizations and residents. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of our federal representatives, elected officials and RTP stakeholders. The power of collaboration is reflected in this shared vision for advancing RTP!
