Rescue’s health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after-school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns reach diverse teen (13 - 17), young adult (18 - 26), and adult (18+) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies. We believe that marketing can do more than sell goods; it can create good, and we are looking for team members who are ready to work hard to create a healthier world.

To share this message with those who may not know how to support individuals facing addiction, King County partnered with Rescue Agency to create, “Real Stories of Recovery | Support Addiction Recovery.” The commercials show how people who have overcome addiction did so with the support of loved ones. • Attention public health professionals tackling the opioid and addiction crisis: We’re proud to sponsor and present at the 2025 Rx Drug Summit. Stop by our session, “Creating Impactful Fentanyl Prevention Campaigns That Uniquely Resonate with Your Audience,” from 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM on Wednesday, April 23 to learn our strategic approach to overdose prevention campaigns. With examples from work in multiple states including Vermont, Illinois, Virginia, and Washington, our session will teach you how to: 1. Analyze and apply formative research insights from existing sources to better understand and counteract the audience’s misconceptions about fentanyl-laced pills and powders. 2. Assess and implement relevant localized information, such as fentanyl potency, overdose rates, and harm reduction strategies, to tailor messaging approaches for the targeted audience and regional context. 3. Demonstrate the ability to design empathetic, personalized communications that convey overdose risks, provide clear harm reduction steps, and connect individuals with recovery resources in an impactful and cost-effective manner. We are honored to be joined by distinguished public health expert Ellis Johnson, BA, Overdose Prevention Communications Specialist at Public Health Seattle King County, along with Sarah L. Grace, Senior Account Manager of Rescue Agency. Don’t forget to visit our booth in the Exhibit Hall at the 2025 Rx and Illicit Drug Summit as well. We hope to see you there. • Swap Up’s playful and comedic content encourages teens in Oklahoma to swap sugary foods and beverages with healthy, delicious alternatives. Over the last four years, the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust has worked with Rescue Agency to create media, commercials, and digital content that encourages teens to eat healthier in this truly unique campaign that has resulted in measurable behavior change. We love this work! “[One of] my favorite projects has been Swap Up because we have a lot of comedic freedom, and it’s well received by the audience. I get to be goofy and it rules.” - Nick Callan, Associate Creative Director at Rescue Agency. New #CallingDIBS episode: Unblocking Harm Reduction Behaviours Amidst the Fentanyl Crisis Talk about #NudgeForGood! What a privilege it was to be joined by Penny Norman to hear about truly impactful applications of #BehaviouralInsights to promote harm reduction behaviours within the context of the fentanyl crisis. • The current uncertainty regarding public health funding in the United States requires health communicators to collaborate, innovate, and think more creatively than ever before. Hundreds of Change Agents did exactly that at the 2025 Agents of Change Summit. Rescue Agency is immensely proud to have been the visionary sponsor of #AOCS25. The keynotes, panel discussions, breakouts, and power sessions sought to find common ground and ways to make measurable change across health topics, even in times of uncertainty. We would like to thank all the amazing Change Agents who attended and contributed to the Summit. It wouldn’t have been possible without you!

  • We all need space to pause when we're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or overstimulated. ? Adolescents in particular need mental health resources that help them pause and self-regulate in difficult moments, as an estimated 49.5% of adolescents have faced a mental health disorder. To help, the California Department of Public Health worked with Rescue Agency to create a new campaign that equips teens with resources about how to pause when things start to feel overwhelming. They can take our short quiz to create a custom plan that will show them personalized steps they can take to self-regulate their emotions. Check it out here: https://bit.ly/3QK8lrj
