Did you know? If your home’s AC uses R-410A refrigerant (Puron), you’re likely affected by the upcoming phase-out. The EPA is mandating that R-410A be replaced by 2025 due to its high global warming potential. What’s Changing? R-410A will be replaced with more eco-friendly refrigerants like R-32, which have a lower environmental impact. Does This Affect You? If your system uses R-410A, expect rising maintenance costs. As manufacturers shift to producing new systems with alternative refrigerants, the development costs will be passed on to consumers, leading to higher prices.
