Ultra-efficient Machine Learning for IoT, wearables, and edge systems. We put the smarts inside your smart device!

关于我们

ResCon provides Machine Learning (ML) solutions to clients who either cannot or do not wish to use the cloud and its standard set of AI/ML tools. Our approach achieves stunning results using minimum power and data while operating on legacy embedded compute hardware. This saves the expense of power-hungry AI-focused chips and provides insights with minimum latency. Our clients come from the aerospace, IoT, and wearables industries, where optimizing size, weight, power, and cost are primary concerns. What can we help you achieve? Do you have sensitive data that you'd prefer to keep local and not hand off to "open source" cloud-hosted databases and ML models? Does your process move too fast to wait for data transfer to an offboard computing resource? With ResCon, you can skip the cloud and move your insights to the edge.

  • Another example of the talent we are lucky enough to access in Central Ohio. Our computer engineering intern from The Ohio State University introduced us to a graphic design major at Miami University, and now we have a very cool updated logo! Thanks Ella Brayton and best of luck as you graduate this spring. You're going to (continue to) do great things!

ResCon Technologies, LLC is rolling in 2025! This will be a year of growth *and* growing up for the company. What better way to set the tone than a branding update? Great logos tell the company's story. Our new brand mark shows a drop in a reservoir, representing the tiny fraction of data our algorithms require to provide machine learning insights. The image is all the more fitting because our approach is based on a paradigm known as Reservoir Computing; "ResCon" is a portmanteau?of "Reservoir" and "Control." Iterating on the brand mark was a truly enjoyable creative process thanks to Ella Brayton, a talented senior at Miami University, who completed the branding update engagement outside of her busy school schedule. Outstanding work, Ella! Much more to follow as we finish up winter and dive into spring. We're learning! #edgecomputing #machinelearning #altPNT

  • We are excited to introduce ResCon's newest engineer, David Essig! David finished his MS in Computer Engineering this summer at the University of Dayton where he focused on using #machinelearning to improve image resolution and compression. He's a great fit with the team and is already making an impact on the RAIN project examining IMU and INS non-ideal behaviors. Welcome to the team, David! We're learning.

  • What do drones, wearables, and moon habitats all have in common? They're all low-power, disconnected systems that benefit from ResCon's ReACH software, harnessing high speed ML for deep insights with minimum latency. Why export data to the cloud when you can process directly on device using existing microcontroller hardware? Talk to ResCon today about your IoT and ML projects. We move insights to the edge!

What an incredible experience! The ResCon Technologies, LLC team visited NASA Langley Research Center last week to demonstrate real-time operation of our high speed ML software suite called ReACH. We've been very fortunate to play a small role in exploring health and status monitoring of "softgoods," materials used in soft-sided structures like inflatable habitats. Softgoods have many layers, including thermal protection blankets, Kevlar mesh to protect against meteoroids, and structural straps. The idea is that sensors can be woven into the layers to report on strain loads, penetrations, and other events of interest. This is an ideal #machinelearning problem, but there's a *ton* of data and edge processing/minimum latency is a must. This is where ResCon really shines--we specialize in powerful but lightweight ML models for deployment to disconnected devices. ReACH can ingest large amounts of data and perform inference, state estimation, data fusion, and classification tasks using embedded compute hardware like microcontrollers. We're learning! #edgecomputing Daniel Gauthier

  • First of two live software demos in two weeks--Orlando for the NSC Expo this week, Langley for the NASA softgoods team next week! What do wearables for construction site safety and inflatable habitats for living on the moon have in common? They both benefit from #edge #machinelearning for low-latency insights using embedded compute resources--no cloud connections required! What #IoT device are you developing that could benefit from lightweight, ultra-fast ML? Reach out and lets talk.

Huge milestone for ResCon Technologies, LLC this week: Daniel Gauthier and I took part in ResCon's first-ever live software demo. This was a great experience with many lessons. Everything went sideways, of course, but the team managed to pull it together through a couple of late nights despite challenges with just about every piece of hardware and software in the puzzle. It turns out that developing #machinelearning models from scratch using minimum data, integrating with new custom wearable hardware, and live-demoing #edge ML in real time--all in eight weeks--is really, really hard. Thanks Nicholas Biederman for creating an incredible ML model incorporating complex physiological data streams on such short notice. You did us proud! And thanks to the teams at IntelliSafe Analytics and PiMios, especially Daniel Timco and Nicholas Anthony, for entrusting us with this project and giving us an unforgettable experience at the National Safety Congress Expo in Orlando! We're learning. #edgecomputing #wearables #safety #construction #NSCExpo #IoT

  • THANK YOU INTERNS! Jace Park and Caden Burklund made ResCon better this summer by their effort and great attitudes--we miss you already! Some lasting memories: - Jace and his expert programming and flying skills (though we managed at least one high-speed collision with the Earth); - Caden and his sharing of Army life by bringing MREs to work (he's a cyber troop in the Army National Guard in addition to full-time student at OSU). These gentlemen made outstanding contributions to our MDA SBIR Phase II project modeling IMU behavior and our PixHornet project incorporating machine learning into PX4. Best of luck heading back to school! We're learning.

  • ResCon is happy to welcome our newest engineer, Evelyn Roe! Evelyn is a recent graduate of Ohio State's Honors Physics program where she concentrated in Astronomy and applied #machinelearning to a variety of tasks including big data analytics and aperture design. She was also a member of OSU's Office of Technology and Digital Innovation, helping to monitor network traffic, user behavior, and security issues. While she's only been on the job for three weeks, she's already presented data to NASA and led multiple calls with collaborators. Bright future ahead for Evelyn! We're learning. It's amazing to see the sheer efficiency of having the right person in the right job with the right tools. In the summer of 2021, ResCon Technologies, LLC set about building two Cube Orange-based small quads to test our theories about ML-augmented flight control and IMU data manipulation. With the help of OSU's Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence and our interns, we built two drones from scratch over about six weeks, learning a ton in the process. Last week, our intern Jace Park built and flew our latest PX4/PixHornet test platform in about 5 hours. As Buckeye Vertical already knows, Jace has serious skills! We're learning. #machinelearning #edgecomputing #pixhornet

Bitter sweet day! ResCon had an outstanding Hail & Farewell gathering yesterday evening in Dublin, OH. Pins Mechanical & 16 Bit for ping pong and Street Fighter, then copious pub food at Dublin Village Tavern. Sad to say goodbye to Kevin Reiss as he moves on to his next adventure; happy to welcome our new developer Evelyn to the ResCon team. We're learning!

  • ResCon welcomes Jace Park and Caden Burklund to our team for the summer! Jace will be focusing on PixHornet development as part of the Rev1 Ventures summer intern cohort. He's a PX4 expert as well as top-notch drone pilot and builder--excellent skills to help with our ML-enabled autopilot. Caden will be focusing on RAIN development and hands-on IMU hardware testing as part of The Ohio State University's Wolstein Scholarship program. He also brings unique experience as an Army Reserve IT troop to the team. Looking forward to an outstanding summer with this talented group! We're learning.
