Join us in congratulating Mrs. Jennifer Bowers, Lyon Elementary K-2 Counselor, for being chosen as the OCTOBER REPMO HERO OF THE MONTH! Mrs. Bowers truly exemplifies what a RepMO Hero is day in and day out as she goes above and beyond the call of duty in serving our students and fellow teammates. Mrs. Bowers will be honored at an upcoming Board of Education meeting and will receive $500 to be spent on the resources of her choice. She will also receive an additional paid day off. Jennifer is a true gem. She is a compassionate educator who demonstrates daily in her work with students and staff exactly what a RepMO Hero represents. Mrs. Bowers goes above and beyond the call of duty in every task she takes on. Her initiative and work ethic along with her caring demeanor make her an invaluable part of our team. In addition to her “regular duties,” Mrs. Bowers leads the SuppLyon Our Students leadership team. Because of her leadership, nearly 500 bags of school supplies will be distributed throughout the 2024-25 school year to students in need. To make this happen, she has contributed many hours of her own time to this effort. It is truly incredible to see her compassion at work, making a difference in the lives of the families we serve. We are SO lucky to have Jennifer Bowers leading, loving and learning at Lyon!" It's almost time for Thanksgiving Break! The Republic School District will be closed on November 27, 28 and 29. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2! #RepMOProud ??

Republic High School’s Ag Department was selected to participate in a “Real World Learning Showcase” hosted by Greater Ozarks Cooperating School Districts. Students and teachers in this department hosted members of the State Board of Education, state legislators and area school and community leaders who got to see how they make learning come alive on our school farm! ?? We appreciate these individuals taking time to visit. It was an honor! #RepMOProud ??

At Republic Middle School, Mrs. Baldwin's Money Matters students are learning about checking accounts! ???? They started by practicing cursive for signing personalized checks. Then, they learned to write checks, fill out deposit slips, keep a check register and reconcile accounts. Next, they'll take a field trip to Mid-Missouri Bank to learn real-world banking practices! #RepMOProud ??
