We are so thrilled to see FinLit, a concept developed initially through a REP4 Design Summit in 2021, change the future of students, their lives and their future families. #REP4 #rep4change #FinancialLiteracy #FinLit #FutureOfLearning #HigherEducation #EquitableAccess

BIG NEWS! Last week, the Fifth Third Foundation committed nearly $2 million to the FinLit project which originated through the REP4 platform in 2021. Students have been designers of the project since its inception, from the high school group that developed the initial prototype at the 2021 REP4 Design Summit, to the team of Grand Valley State University students who are designing, developing and testing the program. Thank you, Fifth Third Bank (Fifth Third Foundation) for your commitment and support in the future! This investment will allow the project to expand across the U.S. #REP4 #rep4change #rep4equity #FinLit #financialliteracy #FutureOfLearning

Congratulations to the Grand Valley State University Project Grand Path ‘Fin Lit’ Team for helping to secure a nearly $2 million grant from Fifth Third Bank ensuring financial empowerment for the next generation and beyond! Your innovative approach to embracing the REP4 provocation for the ‘Fab App’ and generating the ‘Money Mindset’ quiz sets the stage for the individual to embrace their relationship to finances and begin to grow from a perspective of self awareness. You are all an inspiration as you have engaged in active collaboration, innovation and design thinking putting the human experience front and center!

A tornado of disruption, I'm passionate about education in all forms, for all people, delivered in ways that can meet people where they are.
It’s hard to put into words the amazing experience I have had in NYC. Through Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania’s work with the REP4 national alliance, I was invited to attend a GlobalMindED gathering at the United Nations. It was even better that I was able to attend with Nicole R. Hill. The setting was, of course, breathtaking on so many levels. The content and context of the day was inspiring to say the least. The day was packed with panels comprised of brilliant individuals in education, government, industry, students, funders and society leaders who focused on “brave solutions fueling our economic future”. Executives, funders, founders, and students discussed topics like re-inventing education as a workforce engine, AI, impact investing and more. The student panel was the most inspiring of them all. We have a bright future with students like these rising out of our institutions! Many thanks to Carol J Carter for bringing us together. To Philomena Mantella, Elizabeth Doyle, and Jesse M. Bernal, Ph.D. from GVSU/REP4 for the opportunity to attend. Your logistical, financial and ongoing support is deeply appreciated. And of course, to President Charles E. Patterson and Provost Darrell Newton, Ph.D. for driving this work forward at SU. #GlobalMindED #REP4

From the REP4 Inspired Portfolio: GVPrep. . A first-of-its kind initiative from a state public university, GVPrep provided large-scale access to high quality university-level courses that directly connected students with a path to future learning. This program focused on removing student success barriers and increasing the number of underrepresented students statewide who enrolled in four-year colleges and graduated on time.
