Experts at Renown Children's Hospital are calling on all parents to have their children vaccinated for measles as cases increase in parts of the U.S. As of March 6, a total of 222 measles cases were reported by 12 different states. Measles is highly contagious. Even though it may look like a rash, the infection is much more than that – and it can be life-threatening if not treated quickly. The measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is the best defense against contracting the disease, and you get it at your nearest pharmacy. Our plan for you…a healthier future. We’re proud to unveil the expansion of Renown South Meadows Medical Center, with upgrades across the campus increasing access to care and leading-edge technology and the addition of the new Specialty Care Center, which opened in late January. The 121,000-square-foot Specialty Care Center includes an expanded surgical suite, advanced cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, and a new cafeteria and dining space.
