Australia's clean energy transformation is charging ahead! We're already generating 40% of our power from renewables, and we're on track to double that by 2030. This isn't just about hitting targets - it's about making sure every Australian shares in the benefits: lower bills, comfortable homes, secure jobs, and cleaner air for our kids. With the right policies and investment, we can make this transition work for everyone. No exceptions, no one left behind.

While renewables are slashing energy prices, Australia's ageing and unreliable coal plants are pushing them up. Between October and December last year outages at coal power stations caused the wholesale energy price in our National Energy Market to spike above $5000/MWh 23 times - more than 50x the average wholesale energy price. These inflated prices, driven by coal power stations breaking down or needed outages for maintenance push up the average price in our energy market, which flows through into the rates that we pay on our bills. And as power stations get older these breakdowns are only likely to occur more often - forcing up our bills even more. But with rooftop solar and other household energy upgrades we can take back control of our energy, reduce the need for expensive coal power and cut our bills for good. Four million Aussie households have already done just that, now we just need to make sure everyone can.

This is a great step forward! ?? We applaud the Federal Government's $25 million investment to help NSW apartment dwellers access the benefits of solar. For too long, people in apartments have missed out on clean energy savings. Analysis done for Renew Australia for All shows the savings potential for apartments are HUGE: - Efficiency upgrades: $1,033/year savings - Solar: $733/year savings - Batteries: $390/year savings That's over $2000 of potential savings per apartment annually! ?? This investment will help 10,680 NSW households, but with 1.3 million apartments in Australia, we need to think bigger! We could generate $2.8 billion in yearly savings nationally if apartments had support to access the full suite of energy upgrades. The PM's announcement proves our voices are being heard. Let's keep pushing! ??
