Once the former Lake National Bank Building, “The Tower” has now been transformed into beautiful, innovative student housing for Lake Erie College. There aren't many commercial real estate deals getting done in the current market, which makes it extra special for us to have had the opportunity to help Renew Partners LLC get this $17 million project over the finish line. Together, we secured multiple economic development incentives to help bring this 1950's-era building into modern times. We're delighted to see this exciting project come to fruition and we’re looking forward to witnessing the impact it will have on downtown Painesville and the surrounding community. On Wednesday, July 17, Lake Erie College and Renew Partners LLC hosted the official ribbon cutting of 'The Tower,' the new LEC student living building located on Painesville Square. Formerly a bank, this renovation project, led by JCI Contractors, Inc., preserved the mid-century architecture of the original building while repurposing its use as living space for 172 students. The building will be FULL this coming August as students come back for the fall semester. LEC was also happy to announce that 2024 will feature its largest incoming class in the school's history!
