Every company owns or leases buildings – offices, factories, warehouses, stores, whatever. They waste energy, leak emissions, and could be so much more efficient. And yet, upgrading them keeps getting pushed down the list. Why? Because businesses see it as too expensive, too complicated, or someone else’s problem. This week on The Scope 3 Podcast, we’re breaking down why that’s a huge mistake. I’m in conversation with the brilliant Charles Lord, co-founder of RENEW Energy Partners. He has spent his career solving the capital problem that stops companies from upgrading their buildings. He explains how businesses can fund efficiency and clean energy projects without upfront costs, and why delaying action is going to cost them way more in the long run.
