关于我们
Renew Energy Partners provides turnkey solutions for funding, installing, and managing energy efficiency and on-site clean energy projects. The company helps building owners reduce their carbon footprint and save money while making their buildings cleaner, more comfortable, and more resilient. With its energy-as-a-service approach, energy system upgrades and retrofits are funded by RENEW and paid back out of future savings with no out-of-pocket costs to the building owner. For more information, visit www.renewep.com. Upgrades are funded by future savings. RENEW provides the up-front capital and expertise to design, furnish, install, and operate and maintain the new systems under an energy service agreement (ESA), Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), or both. For the duration of the agreement, portions of the savings are paid monthly to RENEW and to the building owner. After the term of the agreement, 100% of the savings goes to the building owner and the new systems become their property. RENEW is now deploying its third capital fund, anchored by the climate infrastructure strategy of Ares Infrastructure and Power (“Ares”).

Every company owns or leases buildings – offices, factories, warehouses, stores, whatever. They waste energy, leak emissions, and could be so much more efficient. And yet, upgrading them keeps getting pushed down the list. Why? Because businesses see it as too expensive, too complicated, or someone else’s problem. This week on The Scope 3 Podcast, we’re breaking down why that’s a huge mistake. I’m in conversation with the brilliant Charles Lord, co-founder of RENEW Energy Partners. He has spent his career solving the capital problem that stops companies from upgrading their buildings. He explains how businesses can fund efficiency and clean energy projects without upfront costs, and why delaying action is going to cost them way more in the long run. Oh, and Charlie’s also a die-hard Liverpool fan, so naturally, we got on very well. (Shame about the result last night, eh.) Elsewhere, Oliver Hurrey sits down with Andy Wright, Responsible Business Director at Samworth Brothers, who’s spent two decades pushing businesses to take real action. He’s seen first-hand why companies get stuck chasing easy wins and why the most impactful decisions come down to just a few key players. As ever, we love to know what you think of these shows – so please do. Enjoy the episode. And remember: all of our previous episodes are available online at https://lnkd.in/e6qmQNa8 ??
