Here is an article on a Escape Room project we did in New Jersey. Powered by AutomationDirect ! Huge shoutouts to: Renegade Solutions, LLC for the panel. & Eulises Lomeli for putting together the custom audio board. & Andrew Schulman for leading the programming + teaching one of the clients employees to maintain the system along the way. Great job to everyone involved! #escaperoom #newjersey #systemsintegrator #industrialautomation #plc #ladderlogic #hmi #cmore #productivity #schulmanengineering #controlpanel #audioboard #automationdirect

We’ve all seen some pretty strange things in this industry, but what’s the weirdest item YOU’VE ever found in the influent at a wastewater plant? Get ready to vote or share your weirdest discovery in the comments. Let’s see who’s seen the wildest thing go down the drain! ?? #WastewaterWeirdness #RenegadeSolutions #PollTime #WhatTheFlush

Tardigrades, or Water Bears, are fascinating (and cute!) microorganisms that play a role in the wastewater sludge process. Their toughness allows them to thrive in harsh environments, including low-oxygen conditions found in sludge digestion. These tiny little “bugs” help break down organic matter, contributing to the efficiency of sludge treatment and helping transform biosolids into reusable material. Even the smallest creatures can have a big impact on keeping our water clean! This little guy was at a treatment plant we visited yesterday, just hanging around and doing his job! #WaterBear #Wastewater #SludgeProcess #Tardigrades #EnvironmentalScience

Did you know? Dick Morley, often called the father of the programmable logic controller (PLC), revolutionized industrial automation in 1968. His invention replaced cumbersome relay systems with a robust, programmable solution that transformed manufacturing efficiency. Morley also contributed to developing the anti-lock braking system and the floppy disk, showcasing his broad impact on technology. #Engineering #Innovation #Automation #PLC #TechHistory #modicon #schneiderelectric

In the late 1800s, Pittsburgh implemented a dual water system—one for potable water and one for sewage. But ohh the irony… Both pipes were often made from wood! Modern upgrades have thankfully left those behind, but it’s fun to think about the early days of wooden sewer pipes under the Steel City!!! ?? #water #wastewater #pipe #steelcity #history #pennsylvania
