?? Heart Month Awareness ?? Last week, Jackie, our Life Navigator for Older Adults, gathered some of her clients to celebrate Heart Month and raise awareness about the importance of heart health. She shared this powerful message: "February is Heart Month—a critical time to raise awareness about heart disease, which disproportionately affects the minority communities. Heart disease and high blood pressure often go unnoticed until it’s too late, but knowledge is power. By prioritizing regular check-ups, embracing heart-healthy habits, and addressing health disparities, we can protect our hearts and our futures. Let’s honor our legacy by taking charge of our health and supporting one another in building stronger, healthier communities—one heartbeat at a time." Well said, Jackie. Well said.

Exciting Partnership Alert! ??** The Academy of Goal Achievers, Inc is thrilled to partner with Renaissance West Community Initiative to bring college and career readiness activities to Renaissance West families! ?? Since September, we’ve been rolling out amazing programs and last week, we proudly held our first community college tour! ??? We took about 40 students to explore Winston-Salem State University and Central Piedmont Community College, all curated by our incredible Community Pathway Navigator, Ms. Terranda Newkirk, affectionately known as Ms. T. ?? This partnership with Renaissance West and Goal Achievers, alongside Elite Minds Career Club, is set to flourish! ?? Renaissance West is home to Scholars, Engaged Parents, Educators, Life Navigators, and leadership who genuinely care about their community’s success! ??. ?? Partner Highlight: SECU ?? At RWCI, we’re proud to partner with SECU to empower the next generation through financial education. Recently, volunteers from SECU visited Renaissance West STEAM Academy to deliver their Reality of Money program to two of our classes. ?? This hands-on experience helped students make real-world financial decisions, covering everything from credit and budgeting to saving for the future. A big thank you to SECU and the volunteers who made this opportunity possible! We’re excited to continue this impactful partnership and support more students on their financial journey. ??????
