To honor Music City’s history, the Renaissance Hotel recently named our presidential suites after two leaders who revolutionized the hospitality industry in Nashville.? ? John Fleming, the hotel’s longtime general manager, worked at the hotel for 25 years and was employed by the brand for nearly 45 years. Fleming was deemed the “true dean of downtown hotel general managers” by his colleagues.? ? Richard H. Fulton was one of the city’s most consequential political leaders of the 20th century, holding the offices of state senator, U.S. representative and mayor. Fulton also played a pivotal role in building the Nashville Convention Center and Renaissance Hotel. ? ?
