We are super-excited to share this news item from Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA) announcing that Congressman Stephen Lynch (MA-8th District) has become a co-sponsor of the Protecting Circuit Boards and Substrates Act (HR-3249)! It is so very heartening and encouraging when our Government representatives take time to listen, comprehend, and act on matters that are truly important to their constituents -- especially legislation like this, which is a win for everyone. (We were fortunate and grateful to have a representative from Congressman Lynch's staff with us for our Canton ribbon-cutting back in May 2024 -- and have since been in touch with him/his team on the importance of this bill.) If you've not yet heard about this bill, you should check it out and learn more at the PCBAA website. But in short, it seeks to provide targeted support and encourage state-side investment by manufacturers and other members of the electronics ecosystem who enable semiconductors. (Coupled with the more widely known CHIPS act -- which focuses on bringing semiconductors production back to the U.S. -- HR-3249 seeks to mirror and extend such investments to the technologies that surround those chips.)
