23 years later and we can still remember exactly where we were on 9/11... Tony Stewart, RemotelyMe CMO: "I was running a care program in the Navy for an in-patient substance abuse treatment facility. One of the instructors came and told me. We watched it on the TV, but only for a few minutes before having to act. I didn't really have time to feel it until later that day. I will never forget it." David Hall, RemotelyMe CTO: "I held an engineering position and was trying to optimize a new process when the news broke. Everything came to a halt. The company's production data monitors were switched to a local news station. Our normally loud, bustling office was suddenly silent. Meetings were canceled, production stopped. People frantically called loved ones to check on them and some went home due to an inability to function. It took several days to restore some sense of normalcy." Bill Reed, RemotelyMe CEO: "I was the cofounder for a startup in Silicon Valley. We were finalizing an investment agreement with three executives who had flown in from New York. We got the news and watched it on TV. Naturally, they were worried about their colleagues and families back home, but took care of business and then flew home right away. I was thinking about the loss of life, our country's security, and if another attack was imminent." But two decades doesn't dampen the solemn reminder we feel every year.
