Look, remote work isn't perfect **GASP** But neither is in office work or hybrid. They all have their pros and cons and people all have their preferences. However, working remotely has been overwhelmingly positive even when some business leaders would like to say otherwise. So let’s get into some data, shall we? ?? 42% of companies with return to office mandates suffered more employee attrition. ?? Almost a third (29%) of companies enforcing office returns are struggling with recruitment. ?? In a?poll, 65% of workers said they would prefer to work remotely indefinitely. Most cited that flexibility, autonomy, and work-life balance provided by remote work. ?? 76% of employees stand ready to jump ship if their companies decide to pull the plug on flexible work schedules. ?? Employees from historically underrepresented groups are 22% more likely to consider other options if flexibility comes to an end. ?? 80% of bosses regret their initial return to office decisions and say they would have approached their plans differently. ?? 21% of those requiring workers to return said they lost “key” members of staff. ?? Only about 3% of employees want to return to the office five days a week. ?? 54% of hybrid or remote workers would consider finding a new job if their employers demanded full-time return to the office. Let's talk test projects or assignments during the interview process... We get it and understand how it may help evaluate an individuals' skills to fit the potential role. HOWEVER Any jobseeker should be compensated for their time if it the project is going to take more than an hour of work. Those looking for jobs are still applying and interviewing with other companies. There is only so much time and brain power one can spend time on and invest in a given week. So these projects and work should be fairly compensated, every single time. And shout out to the companies that DO pay when they require a project in their interview process. That's how to gain trust in candidates ?? P.S. also cool with not having some test project either, but if you must have it at least pay for their time and efforts. #RemoteJobs #Jobseekers #JobInterviews

Remember, the job market right now is out of your control. While you might not be getting responses or interviews for remote jobs, it doesn’t mean you aren’t talented at what you do. Even after you put in the work to stand out and go beyond just a quick application, there's not REAL exact way to land interviews. But that doesn't mean you need to give up. To improve your chances to get noticed, put in the work in these key areas ? 1. Utilize LinkedIn more. Clean up your profile, engage with people at companies you want to work at, connect with recruiters, DM people, etc. GET SOCIAL. 2. Monitor remote job boards. Find the remote job boards you trust, sign up for alerts, join their talent pool, and start applying. There's many out there, bookmark the ones you like the most. 3. Join industry communities. Communities are great way to find jobs before their public, directly engage with those hiring or those who work at a company hiring, plus learn and network from others. There are free and paid communities, both have their value. 4. Utilize free software and AI in your search. While there are plenty of great software tools to help your resume, your cover letter, and even in job search and sending out applications. And some are powered by AI, which increases efficiency and the speed of your efforts. Job hunting is literally a full-time job right now. It can take time to edit and tailor your applications, manage your LinkedIn, and search through remote jobs from all over the web. But you'll get through this phase and find the perfect remote job. #RemoteJobs #RemoteWork
