I haven’t been posting much lately because I’ve been offline, helping talents revamp their resumes for remote opportunities. Shoutout to Nora for noticing my silence and reaching out. Role Overview: We’re looking for a proactive, creative, and result-driven Community & Social Media Manager to oversee engagement iwn the Remote Only Community while driving awareness and traction across our social media platforms. This is a part-time role (5 hours daily) that allows you to balance other commitments while contributing to a meaningful cause. The ideal candidate should have strong social media knowledge, be able to drive conversations, create engagement strategies, and ensure that our online presence attracts, nurtures, and converts the right audience. Key Responsibilities: ?? Foster an engaging environment, respond to inquiries, onboard new members, and keep discussions active. ?? Drive brand awareness by managing and creating content for Remote Only’s social media platforms. ?? Execute strategies to attract new members, boost engagement, and drive Cohort registrations. ?? Develop and share engaging posts, polls, and discussions to keep the community and social media pages active. ?? Track engagement metrics, suggest improvements, and proactively introduce ideas to enhance community and social media traction. Requirements: ?? Strong written and verbal communication. Must be able to craft engaging content and conversations that align with the Remote Only brand. ?? Previous experience in social media, digital engagement, or online community management is an advantage but not mandatory. ?? Basic knowledge of lead generation, content creation, and audience nurturing is highly desirable. ?? Ability to engage audiences, create discussions, and drive brand awareness. ?? Tech-savvy and proficient in using social media platforms, scheduling tools, and collaboration tools. ?? Ability to work independently and as part of a team. At Remote Only Community, we don't want you to fall prey to these fraudsters. Stay alert to these warning signs: 1?? Shaky online presence – A legitimate company should have a professional website and active social media. If all you find is a sketchy landing page with no real activity, you should be concerned. 2?? Unnecessary haste to accept the role – If they’re pressuring you to commit without a proper interview, it’s likely a scam. Real employers take time to assess candidates. 3?? Requests for sensitive personal information – No employer should ask for your bank login, or Linkedin password. Scammers use this to steal your identity or money. 4?? Unclear job descriptions – Vague roles with unrealistic pay often indicate scams. If they can’t explain your duties clearly, it might mean that they don’t intend to pay you either. 5?? Payment requests – No legitimate job asks you to pay for training, software, or application fees. If they do, it’s a scam. ?? Stay Alert! If something feels off, it probably is.
