On March 27th, ReMo’s own Vamsi Kotla will be joining industry leaders for a CEO panel at California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA)’s Annual Board & Membership Meeting in Palm Springs. California’s manufacturing sector is evolving rapidly. Automation, AI, and supply chain shifts are reshaping the industry, while rising costs continue to challenge workforce retention. At the same time, policy changes in imports could make California manufacturers more competitive globally—creating local jobs, increasing tax revenue, and addressing national security concerns. The panel will dive into what’s next—how companies are adapting, the policies shaping the future, and the strategies keeping innovation and jobs in California. We’ll also be making the case for manufacturing tax credits, workers’ compensation reform, and take agreements to help grow the industry. At ReMo, we’re focused on the emerging prefab housing sector, which can play a key role in addressing California’s housing shortage and post-wildfire rebuilding needs—offering resilience and affordability at the same time. Yet, California has traditionally prioritized service industries, making our economy less diverse and more vulnerable to shifting policies. Manufacturing is essential to building a more resilient, energy-efficient, and affordable future. These conversations are critical to driving real change, and we’re excited to be part of them. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Palm Springs! ?? #Manufacturing #Innovation #Sustainability #CMTA #ReMoHomes https://lnkd.in/gDVTvPFY Susie Ogihara Sneha Kumari, MBA, Six Sigma Mauricio Capetillo Santiago Ossa Audree Grubesic Nolan Browne Arezou Sadoughi, Ph.Ds. ReMo Homes is headed to World of Modular 2025! ?? We’re not just exhibiting—we’re also taking the stage! Join our CEO, Vamsi Kumar Kotla, and CTO, Ryan Blowers, for an insightful session on how modular construction is reshaping climate-resilient, energy-efficient housing. ???Building Climate-Resilient and Energy-Efficient Communities: Modular’s Unique Advantage ?? Wednesday, April 9 ? 2-3 PM PST ?? Monet 4, Bellagio Resort & Casino, Las Vegas The future of housing demands climate-resilient, energy-efficient solutions that integrate tight building envelopes, renewable energy, and wildfire- and hurricane-resistant structures. Traditional builders, strained by record-high interest rates and a shrinking labor pool, are unable to meet this demand. Modular manufacturing is uniquely positioned to address this challenge and enable faster, more affordable housing through precision-driven quality control, integrated design processes, streamlined and centralized supply chains, lower soft costs/overhead expenses (e.g., planning and inspection), and cutting-edge fabrication techniques. Modular manufacturing can also offer solutions for climate adaptability by building to standards such as the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety’s (IBHS) Wildfire Fortified Home Program and the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home Program (ZERH). Join this case-based session to learn how modular manufacturing ensures homes are resilient, energy-efficient, and better equipped to handle rising ownership costs at the same build costs as traditional construction. Will we see you there? ?? #WorldofModular #ModularConstruction #Sustainability #ClimateResilience #EnergyEfficiency Modular Building Institute Susie Ogihara Sneha Kumari, MBA, Six Sigma Mauricio Capetillo Santiago Ossa Audree Grubesic Nolan Browne Arezou Sadoughi, Ph.Ds. That’s a wrap on IBS 2025! ?? As the largest annual construction trade show, IBS is where the industry’s best come together to showcase cutting-edge innovations shaping the future of housing. This year’s event has been a special one for us—with an exciting collaboration underway with a well-established building materials manufacturer that’s globally recognized, and a demonstration project with an international conglomerate. The industry needs this momentum—homes are one of the biggest investments people make, and they should do more than provide shelter…they should support better living. The tech we saw at IBS—AI-driven design, smart systems, and high-performance materials—is making that a reality, and we’re excited to bring it into our homes. At ReMo, we’re always looking ahead, and the insights we gained will help us develop next-generation housing technology.. Huge thanks to everyone we met up with, shared ideas with, and explored possibilities together. Until next time! ?? #IBS2025 #ModularHousing #SmartHomes #IBS Kenneth Johnson Susie Ogihara Mauricio Capetillo Audree Grubesic Nolan Browne Arezou Sadoughi, Ph.Ds. Assoc. Last week, our CEO Vamsi Kumar Kotla had the opportunity to speak at Folsom Tech Week 2025 on how AI is transforming the way we build. It was a fantastic discussion alongside leaders from cloud computing, academia, and AI-powered startups, all sharing insights on AI’s real-world impact. The energy in the room was incredible, and the engagement from the audience made it clear—AI isn’t just a passing trend; it’s actively shaping industries, including housing. Our team is committed to leveraging AI to streamline production, optimize design, and build more resilient, energy-efficient homes. At ReMo, we believe the home is the biggest consumer product—and yet, it’s one of the least smart. We’ve roadmapped a future where homes are as intelligent and connected as your phone, your EV, or even a reusable rocket. That means integrating IoT, configuration management, OTA (over-the-air) updates, and full traceability—all while keeping affordability at the core for mass adoption. A big thank you to the organizers for the invite and to everyone who joined the conversation! Looking forward to continuing the dialogue on how AI can drive innovation in housing. ? #AI #Innovation #SustainableHousing #remohomes Susie Ogihara Sneha Kumari, MBA, Six Sigma Mauricio Capetillo Santiago Ossa Audree Grubesic Nolan Browne Arezou Sadoughi, Ph.Ds. Earlier this week, we traveled to Sacramento to meet with key policymakers and discuss how resilient steel modular homes can address California’s housing needs.??? We were honored to speak with leaders like Senator Josh Becker, Treasurer Fiona Ma, former Senator Steven Bradford, and Senator Tim Grayson about the critical role modular housing can play in wildfire recovery, sustainability, and affordable housing. We’re grateful to the California government for passing $2.5B in wildfire relief funding to support impacted communities. We thank Senator Scott Wiener for sponsoring this bill in the Senate and Assembly Member Jesse Gabriel for sponsoring the bill in the Assembly. At ReMo, we’re ready to assist with both temporary and permanent housing using the cutting-edge homes that are both climate and energy-resistant homes, we’ve developed with our partners. Thank you to the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) for hosting the Back to Session Open House, bringing together legislators and manufacturers to spark collaboration and innovation. We look forward to hosting some of these leaders at our Gardena facility soon and continuing our work to support California’s rebuilding efforts.??? #LAStrong #LAFire #Resilience #Modular #Sustainability #WildfireRelief #HousingSolutions #Collaboration #CMTA Lance Hastings Ananda Rochita Katie Durham Catalina Lira Adel Suleiman J.
