We looked at the brand exposure for the NHL Jersey Patch during the 2022-23 NHL season. The results certainly raised an eyebrow. Unsurprisingly, character count was a crucial factor. The higher the count, the less brand exposure with fans. It can be challenging to decipher longer sponsor names quickly during the game and especially on broadcast. But also, more unexpectedly, the format of a sponsor's logo also made a big difference. Those that were stacked typically received 28% more exposure than those that were horizontal. ??Shohei Ohtani makes history again! ?? Last week, Ohtani became the first player in MLB history to achieve a 50/50 season—50 home runs and 50 stolen bases. ?? But that’s not the only impact he made. Our analysis found that the brands partnering with Major League Baseball (MLB) earned over $1.15M in sponsor media value across social channels in just 48 hours (9/19 - 9/20)! Most of this value was driven by X (formerly Twitter), which alone generated just short of $1M from 143 high-impact posts. ??
