A new study published by Nature.com reveals that humans age drastically at age 44 and then again at age 60. Michael Snyder, an author of the study, told CNN "people often get muscle injuries and see their fat accumulation hit in their 40s, and definitely sarcopenia (muscle loss) hit people in their 60s." Health, behavioral, and social life overlap more and more as one ages. Those caring for or serving older adults can make a difference by providing support that considers the whole person. As a caregiver, it’s crucial to recognize that #MentalHealth issues in older adults are just as treatable as in younger populations. Focus on identifying symptoms, supporting resilience, and involving older adults in their own care decisions. #MentalHealth #AgingWell #SeniorCare #BehavioralHealth
