???Employee Feature – Cole Christensen! ?? ________________________________________________ When did you start working at Reliant? ?? I started working at Reliant after I graduated in June of 2024.?I moved to Lincoln, NE from Alamosa, CO in June and started working a couple days after I moved here. What is your current role? ?? I am currently a Carrier Manager 1; I work with carriers to find loads and to keep trucks moving. I currently am trying to build relationships with carriers to build my book of business to get my name out there so carrier’s call me for loads. I am currently maintaining several carriers, and my main goal to communicate is that we deliver loads efficiently and on time. It is a team effort, and I truly believe that if you give your full effort they’ll will be willing to do the same. What's your favorite part about working at Reliant? ?? What I love most about working here is the environment and the people. Moving to a new state and town was very daunting for me, but the people I work with everyday made it so much easier. There is no one in this office that would not be willing to help or give advice ever. I have made some lifelong friends here and could not ask to work with better people. What is the most challenging part of your job? ? The most challenging part of the job is the pace. It is a very fast paced high tempo environment that requirements you to be thorough, but also efficient. Balancing those was for me the most difficult to learn. You had to make sure you were getting everything done but also done well! The only way to learn is to dive right in. What advice do you have for candidates that are interested in applying at Reliant Transportation? ?? Some advice that I have for anyone looking to work at Reliant is look to challenge yourself. I have learned so many things including time management, negotiating, organization and much more because this job makes me challenge myself. Especially out of college, this job is teaching me what it requires to be an adult and helping me prepare for anything I face in the future. National Sales Executive What's your favorite part about working at Reliant? ?? I do it for the thrill in transportation and doing it at a family-owned, respected company who has been around for 28 years. I’ve been doing transportation for 15 years now. Our impact in the supply chain at Reliant might be small compared to some, but we are helping to support and build America one truck load at a time. It’s rewarding knowing our small imprint can make such a large impact. What is the most challenging part of your job? ? Changing the customers’ perspective of the value a freight broker can provide to their company vs them working directly with a truck owned asset. What advice do you have for candidates that are interested in applying at Reliant Transportation? ?? Transportation is not a sexy job, but it’s very rewarding personally, professionally and financially.
