Gesa D?ringer's Mindsetter Game inspires informal yet thought provoking solution-focused conversations that make a difference in peoples' lives both within and outside of the therapeutic environment (organizations and schools). It's a tool for learning, critical thinking, interpersonal dialogue and collaboration. Solution-focused leaders have excitedly been implementing it throughout the world (Matthew Selekman, Tara Gretton, Annette Gray, Paut Struik, John Brooker, Victoria Spashchenko, Ayse Adil, Matt Cameron, Pamela King, Ursula Buehlmann, Toni Medina - to name a few). This week, I had the pleasure of introducing the Mindsetter to Ms. Ogilvie's class at Emily Carr Secondary School - in the Toronto area. The students attentively listened to each other as they contemplated all of the questions. Afterwards, as they shared their reflections with me, it warmed my heart to hear about their personal experiences with the game: "It was great to learn that other students are going through some of the same things I'm going through. I'm not alone." "It really got me to think about the things I want to do with my future. I hadn't thought of setting a timeline before." "I got to think differently about what's important to me."
