To finish off the spooky season, a short video from a fun mocap session in the Xsens suit, creating the animation set for the Crypt menu. ? The latest terror in #Deceit2 is Morgus, a creepy clown orangutan! ??

The third terror we had the opportunity to work on for #Deceit2 was Vespal the Vampire! ?? Vespal floats effortlessly through the environment, using teleportation as his main locomotion ability. He’s graceful and elegant yet incredibly powerful, making him super fun to work on. Showcasing some of the third person animation set in his Newborn skin along with Alex's Vampire Hunter legendary skin. ?? ??

The second #Deceit2 terror that we had the opportunity to work on was the werewolf which brought on the fun challenge of animating a quadruped. Here it's showcased in its legendary Halloween skeleton skin ??

One of the most enjoyable aspects of being an animator is diving in at the very beginning of a project, and working with the team to help establish the game's style and tone. This phase is one of the most fun and imaginative parts of what we do, allowing us to pitch ideas on different styles of movement and attitude, which in turn affects the feel of gameplay for the player. Super rewarding! ??

?? It's spooky season, so what better time to spotlight some of our #Deceit2 work? In Deceit 2, you find yourself hunted by one of four Terrorforms. Here’s the first we had the opportunity to work on: The Experiment. The brief for The Experiment was to create a creature that feels more human than monster, reflecting its dark past as a victim of experimentation. This hulking figure relies on brute force and blunt trauma to take down its victims. Its heavy and powerful with short sprints of speed. To author its third person animation set we used a mixture of motion capture and hand-key. We also got to work on some special skins, including this rare blood-pulsing variant. ??
