Meet a Team Member Monday! Greg Wagner, a Senior Designer at REI, has been with the company for 20 years in April, specializing in stormwater management. With a primary degree in Water Resources and further education in civil engineering and surveying, Greg’s interest in providing clean water steered him toward this field. He finds great satisfaction in his job by developing environmentally responsible solutions that meet each site’s stormwater management needs while aligning with the client's preferences. Meet a Team Member Monday! Meet Kaylin (K-Dawg) Felix, a dedicated Hydrogeologist who has been an integral part of REI for over four years. Specializing in tank system site assessments, asbestos inspections, and environmental consulting, Kaylin chose this career due to a profound love for the outdoors and a passion for earth sciences. Kaylin's favorite aspect of the job is solving problems for clients and receiving positive feedback upon project completion. Connecting with Students! Team members, Eric Johnson, Brian Bailey, and Cameron Stadler had the opportunity to connect with Engineering Tomorrow students during a recent visit to DC Everest Area School District. Eric and Brian were able to provide students with information on careers in Civil and Environmental Engineering based on their years of experience, but what made this visit unique was Cameron’s story. A 2023 graduate of DCE, Cam returned to his Alma Mater and former classroom to share his continuing education journey with the aspiring engineers. While many students choose to leave the area to attend a four-year college, Cam chose instead to attend the Civil Engineering Technology Program at Northcentral Technical College. This provided him with the opportunity to stay within the area where he became an intern at REI Engineering. This option also provided a springboard for him to continue his studies at Michigan Tech through NTC’s transfer program. Cam gave the students a great message on future aspirations, the right time to get an internship and how he chose REI. First-hand experience that the students could relate to. We are proud of the knowledge that Cam shared, and we are confident that his former teacher Mr. Glynn would agree. REI team members joined DC Everest Youth Baseball, and community members yesterday afternoon for the groundbreaking of the Kennedy Park expansion in Weston, Wisconsin. This expansion includes the addition of five new baseball/softball fields, bleacher seating with handicap accessibly, two hockey rinks and a warming house. Construction is set to begin in Spring of 2025. REI’s Civil Design and Survey teams are providing field, too and base maps, design, geotechnical, stormwater management, architectural, permitting, specs, and 3D modeling/renderings for this exciting new development.
