Are you ready for Regis Gives? On April 2 and 3, the entire Regis community will come together for our biggest fundraising event of the year. You can choose to support a wide variety of student and mission focused projects, including scholarships, research, athletics, campus improvements and more during the 48 hours of giving. Last year was our biggest year yet: over 700 donors raised more than $325,000 for 24 projects. No matter the amount, thanks to a generous donor, all gifts made during Regis Gives will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $175,000. On the desk in Joseph Dunbar’s office sits a photo of himself with Amber Paul, a nursing student whose education was made possible through the Janice N. Dunbar LHC 55 Endowed Scholarship. Joseph established the scholarship to honor his late wife, Janice, a 1955 graduate of Loretto Heights College, ensuring that her passion for education lives on. His generosity expanded in 2022 with a $500,000 pledge to launch the Ph.D. in Nursing program at Regis, addressing the national shortage of nursing educators. His $1 million estate bequest and annual $100,000 pledge further his mission to provide opportunities for future healthcare careers.? ? “College can be very expensive, but education makes a difference,” Joseph said. His commitment to Regis strengthens not only our nursing students but also the communities they serve. There has been an unbelievable response to our inaugural Anderson Alumni Week!! Over the next five days, over 70 alumni of the Anderson College of Business and Computing – Regis University will share their expertise and advice with our current students. An incredible 95 classes will have alumni speakers present, ranging from those who graduated over 50 years ago to some who just started their careers last year. Regis University is requesting your support in identifying the next Civis Princeps awardee. The Civis Princeps award is the highest honor Regis bestows. Honorees must have performed significant acts of service with honesty, integrity and dignity and must exhibit personal qualities that include high moral character and epitomize the values of the Society of Jesus and Regis University. Nominations are due by March 7, and the University's board of trustees will select the awardee. The award will be announced during a ceremony in the fall. Charles and Corrine Brase met while pursuing advanced mathematics degrees - dedicating their lives to teaching and publishing math textbooks that are still used in classrooms today. Charles, who passed away in 2017, was a professor at Regis for almost 30 years,?and was twice named Faculty Member of the Year. Corrine wanted to continue his legacy at Regis and established an endowed fund in the couple’s name to support scholarships for undergraduates of Regis College. In late 2024, Corrine deepened her investment in Regis students with a new pledge of $250,000 to fund undergraduate engagement in research. "I have always had the impression that those who have gotten their degree at Regis are very pleased to have done so. You get a very good education, but you also learn so much about responsibility, about community. Congratulations to Dr. Patrick Simon Soria, DNP, MHA, MAN, RN, CGNC, Executive MHA alumnus, for being named a 2025 Notable Healthcare Leader by Twin Cities Business Magazine! Dr. Soria assisted with an MOU between Ateneo de Davao University and Regis University?back in 2023. This partnership with ADDU promotes global learning for the empowerment of faculty and the bolstering of educational opportunities for students.
