Our trauma team is educating the community on Stop the Bleed, a curriculum from the American College of Surgeons on how to provide lifesaving care for severe bleeding. Josh Dugal, Director of Trauma Services for the Elvis Presley’s Trauma Center, and his team provided training at Amplify Cell Technologies for over 200 employees including safety officers, site supervisors, construction crews and safety teams.?This program provides a simple, lifesaving skill that can help stabilize a person until EMS arrives.?Learn how your organization can sign up for a Stop the Bleed training session at https://lnkd.in/egqAZeqq

After losing his mother and brother to pancreatic cancer, Will lived with the worry that his own diagnosis was just around the corner. Thanks to the care he received at Dr. Evan Glazer’s high-risk pancreatic cancer clinic at Regional One Health, he has taken charge of his health and is finally living without a huge weight on his shoulders. Dr. Glazer, a renowned surgical oncologist with Regional One Health Cancer Care and The University of Tennessee Health Science Center associate professor of surgery, said that is his goal for every patient he sees: “The goal is not just to find cancer early, but to prevent the diagnosis from ever happening,” Dr. Glazer said.
