A commentary, led by Kurt Kroenke, M.D., MACP, of Regenstrief Institute and IU School of Medicine, published in the Journal of Neurotrauma, calls for traumatic brain injury (TBI) to be recognized as a chronic condition as are diabetes, asthma, depression and heart failure. The authors highlight how collaborative care models can support lifelong care for TBI survivors. This approach could enhance care coordination between brain injury specialists and primary care providers, offering ongoing support for patients and their families. https://lnkd.in/g6eT68Xy
