?? Driving Sustainability and Aligning with the SDGs ?? At Regen Organics, we are not just a business—we are committed to creating a sustainable future. Our work is deeply rooted in addressing global challenges through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From Zero Hunger to Climate Action, our impact is proof that aligning business strategies with sustainability can transform communities and ecosystems. ? SDG 2: Zero Hunger We’ve empowered 10,000+ small-scale farmers, enhancing crop yields by an impressive 20-70% while reducing dependence on chemical inputs. This is our step toward food security in a world where 35% of Kenyans face food insecurity. ? SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation Through our founding partner Fresh Life, we’ve provided safe sanitation to over 300,000 people across 4 cities in Kenya. This reduces water pollution and enhances public health—one community at a time. ? SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production By recycling 150,000+ tons of organic waste, we’ve turned waste into renewable resources that benefit agriculture and mitigate climate impact. ? SDG 13: Climate Action Our waste-to-resource model has avoided over 75,000 metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions since inception, playing our part in reducing the 8-10% of greenhouse gas emissions caused by food waste globally. ?? By embedding SDGs into your business strategy, you don’t just enhance your impact—you become a part of the solution. #Sustainability #SDGs #ZeroHunger #ClimateAction #CircularEconomy #CleanWater #ResponsibleConsumption #RegenOrganics #SustainableDevelopment #ImpactDriven #TogetherForChange #BusinessForGood

BUTERE AND MALAVA ATTAIN MUNICIPALITY STATUS: UNLOCKING ECONOMIC POTENTIAL Butere and Malava Townships were officially designated as the third and fourth municipalities in Kakamega County yesterday, marking a significant milestone for the region. The conferment of municipal charters, presided over by H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa OGW symbolizes the dawn of transformative growth for these towns. In addition, today, Matunda Township will be conferred with its municipal charter, becoming Kakamega County's fifth municipality. These upgrades reflect Governor Barasa’s unwavering commitment to positioning Kakamega as the 6th City in Kenya, following Eldoret. The transition to municipality status is a game-changer for Butere, Malava, and Matunda, bringing a range of economic benefits: #EnhancedInfrastructure: Upgrades in roads, sewerage systems, and public transport networks will not only improve residents' quality of life but also make these towns more attractive to businesses and tourists. #ImprovedServiceDelivery: Municipal status ensures better resource allocation, including efficient waste management and sustainable urban planning. #IncreasedInvestmentOpportunities: This is an opportune moment for investors, particularly in the hospitality sector, to capitalize on the growing demand for accommodations, dining, and recreational facilities. As these towns grow, their visibility will rise, catalyzing further infrastructure development and opening new doors for economic transformation in Kakamega County. Kakamega County Investment and Development Agency invites investors, development partners and other stakeholders to be part of this journey toward making Kakamega a beacon of urban excellence and prosperity. #CitiesFitForPeople: Informal waste collectors are vital in advancing a circular approach to managing organic waste. That's why?Practical Action in Kenya?and?Regen Organics?recently facilitated a three-day training on organic waste segregation, handling, and quality control for 147 waste workers in Kakamega Municipality. Among them were 71 women. Through interactive sessions and group discussions, participants gained practical skills and insights into the potential of circular economy techniques to manage household organic waste effectively. "The training was an eye-opener. I now know that by segregating waste, I can turn it into wealth and improve my income," said Lilian Isukha, a member of a waste management group. This initiative is part of the Circular Economy for Household Organic Waste (CE4HOW) Project. Funded by Danida Green Business Partnerships / Danida Market Development Partnerships, it aims to create a viable business model for household organic waste that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, improves waste services, and transforms the lives of informal waste workers. benon wasonga Daniel Mwakha Trizzah Abuya Michael Lwoyelo Elizabeth Asichi
