Global Advisory Consulting & Education Platform leveraging regenerative climate solutions for a planet-positive future

关于我们

Regenerative Intelligence (RegenIntel) is a global advisory and educational platform activating humans to create a planet-positive future for all life. We do this in two ways: 1. Global Advisory Consulting ???? We provide advisory services to companies, governments (local, state, national), NGOs, and non-profits on ways to holistically improve their planetary impact (beyond merely emissions) while meeting their key organizational goals. 2. Foundations Fellowship ???? Our educational platform and Foundations course was developed by original co-creators of Project Drawdown to upskill professionals working in or making the career transition into the climate space. Currently, this is the only fellowship program that dives deep into regenerative climate solutions and systems thinking to go beyond merely reducing negative effects (sustainability) and address the polycrisis holistically. The Foundations course centers around your “Climate Quest”, a project culminated over 12 weeks that is built by design to be implemented in the real world post-course. Previously fellows’ Climate Quests include founding a non-profit, publishing an op-ed, developing climate campaigns, advising on regenerative urban planning, and creating a regenerative podcast. Above all else, we are an ever-growing ecosystem of 80+ world class thinkers and doers consulting globally, founding climate companies, and implementing regenerative solutions - we call this network of experts our Cosmos of Stars ?? "Sustainability" is not sustainable, Regeneration is Sustainable. RegenIntel is at the forefront of this movement, apply for our 3rd Cohort this Fall to join us.

Have to confess that i Never made the connection between climate change and Psychology till i listened to this presentation during my RegenIntel course. The importance of being mindfully present , show up as you are and be a guide vs and eductor or cheerleader to deal with negative emotions connected to climate change , where some of the key highlights that i summarized here for the benefit of all that read this post: In her presentation, Renee Lertzman, PhD emphasized the importance of self-awareness for effective change-making. She introduced frameworks that focus on how attuned we are to ourselves and how we show up in the world, a key capability in regenerative leadership. Drawing on the concept from Amy Edmonson, she highlighted the need for an open, non-judgmental attitude to facilitate learning and growth. Lertzman explained that regenerative work requires existential change leadership, not just management. Climate change induces anxiety and emotional stress, and she underscored that functioning groups and cohorts are essential for processing these emotions and moving toward solutions. She introduced 5 guiding principles for change-makers: Attune – Tune into and understand people’s emotions. Reveal – Share the truth with compassion. Convene – Activate meaningful conversations. Equip – Provide the necessary tools and resources. Sustain – Maintain efforts over time. Lertzman encouraged shifting from traditional roles (e.g., activist, educator) to becoming guides who ask questions, listen, and offer expertise in the context of relationships. Her framework for change includes addressing behavior, storytelling, system solutions, and emotional experiences, as well as understanding the 3 A’s: Anxiety, Ambivalence, and Aspiration. This holistic approach integrates psychology and regenerative leadership, addressing both personal transformation and collective action.

I'm proud to share that earlier this summer I completed #RegenIntel's Cohort 2 Foundations Program. The experience was transformational on many fronts. Not only did I gain a wealth of knowledge about all facets of the poly crises impacting climate change, I was exposed to our planet's leading minds on existing solutions in progress fighting climate change today. I was equally inspired by my fellow participants who engaged from all corners of the globe. This powerful program energized my decision to serve the climate change space in the next chapter of my career and play whatever role I can in its solution. I highly recommend the RegenIntel Cohort program. You will benefit immensely from your time with the incredible (and generously accessible!) people at RegenIntel and the Masterclass experts they bring to the table.

If people are “turning away” ?? -- then here’s what you need to know. ?? From a psychological perspective, this is inevitable for anyone working on behalf of the planet. You’ll surely engage a whole spectrum of responses: some that are allied and receptive to your causes or goals, and others that seem quick to tune it out, or become outright hostile or resistant. ? One of the most frequently asked questions I get (even earlier today in a RegenIntel masterclass) is: how do I stop people from turning away, or tuning this out? How can I communicate difficult truths, involving injustice, inequity, damage to our planet, etc? My #1 tip is to name, name, name. Name that this is complex. Name that you’re feeling things too. It can literally look like, “I’m feeling this way, how do you feel about this?” or “I know this is a lot.” This is key, because our desire to tune things out is actually incredibly human. It comes from an innate tendency to protect ourselves and our wellbeing. While that’s what many of us are focusing on in a big picture way, that tendency can be overridden when we zoom into our own lives, our ambivalence and our anxiety. When we practice naming, we invite people to feel safer in their own skin. We take some of the edge off of our inherent anxieties and ambivalence. This is what makes connection and change work a rewarding and relational process, rather than something akin to yelling at a wall, or resorting to selling solutions and talking "at" people. (And yes, this can be scaled and applied in campaigns ... learn more about that in upcoming newsletters!) Thoughts? Let me know what you think in the comments. #esg #sustainability #climatechange #psychology #climatecomms #existentialpsychology #beaguide #compassion

Sitting at a place called “Hope” ??? ?? ?? Hope is a real and tangible place, a small sitting space, I came across while exploring a small mountain village ??, within a church premise ?. What makes anything tangible? When we look for systems, things, initiatives, solutions, results, which are visible for all to see, that's tangible. Then, what makes climate change ‘real’? It becomes real… when it reaches our doorstep, it is real for those people who have migrated and lost their lives, homes, culture, and identity. It is also real, when you are stuck in the midst of, heavy rain ? and traffic ? causing urban flooding ??, due to a high intensity 100- year rains??, and the current drainage system unable to handle these phenomena. Oh yes, ?? it’s a familiar phenomenon, growing more common in cities ?? across the world. So where does Hope exist? It exists in solutions, in initiatives which have turned a new leaf, a quiet assurance that has built over months and sometimes years of initiatives undertaken by people, citizens of the planet like you and me. I believe that’s where Hope sits. ??? RegenIntel Intel Deep Dive sessions on The Built Environment & Transportation Solutions with Ryan F Allard and Navigating Ocean Regeneration: Marine Ecosystem Restoration with Emilia Jankowska, was more than science. The sessions addressed two important aspects on the World systems – Land use in urban spaces ?? and Oceans ??. ? Ryan F Allard's session on building spaces looked at pragmatic strategies to improve human quality of life by rethinking and revisiting the use of urban living spaces - to reduce carbon footprints, enhance green mobility, and integrate sustainability. Emilia Jankowska’s session was mind- bending to say the least. It emphasized ocean’s role in global ecological balance, highlighting the challenges ocean’s face and innovative solutions possible through ocean health restoration. ? To emphasize it enough… YES, HOPE DOES EXIST, through real- world solutions to existing challenges of the #ClimateCrisis. #BuildingTheFuture #RegenerativeJourney #RegenerativeSolutions #ClimateAction #RegenIntel #ClimateCommunity #SystemsThinking #RegenerativeSystems #Climatechange #Regenerative #Sustainability #RespectForNature #ClimateEducation #Hope #Inspired RegenIntel Mamta Mehra PhD Chad Frischmann Alessandra Vega Ryan F Allard Emilia Jankowska Sonam Sharma WASI ALAM

Founder of the Regenerative Technology Project, Senior Innovation Advisor at Intentional Futures; Innovation Strategist, Researcher, Speaker, Author, Start-up Advisor; former Podcast Host and Tech Industry Analyst

?? Today we launch The Regenerative Technology Project! A new organization on a mission to accelerate regeneration in the Tech sector. ?? ? ? This has been many years in the making. Maybe a lifetime. I've never found more elegant inspiration than nature, dating back to my early days in paleoarchaeology, and all the way through my career as a tech industry analyst researching many “digital disruptions” over the past 20 years.?? ? ?? Ecology and biology are more advanced than any other “technical” engineering system we have ever created. What can our modern technological innovation learn from 3.8 billion years of evolution’s R&D? ?? ? ?? My work in “digital transformation” pivoted when, while studying regenerative economics w John Fullerton at the Capital Institute, I realized just how far our tech has distanced us from the living systems that support us (and the economy). Yes, our digital darlings have brought incredible capabilities and conveniences. But too many of them, and the Big Tech/VC business models that underlie them, have just accelerated our extractive and exploitative economy. ?? ? For the millions working in Tech, and the billions of us using Tech, we and our planet?deserve better! In the age of runaway AI, exponential data center emissions, eroding digital rights, extreme data (power) asymmetries, and way too much e-waste, we must remember we can still choose whether our tools improve or imperil our great web of life. ?? ? ?? Based on the patterns of living systems, regenerative design is about design in ways that support the health of the whole more than harm it, recognizing our interdependency. This design wisdom (which is not new and has been practiced for thousands of years, more recently “validated” through biology, ecological, and complexity science) is now re-emerging across industries: regenerative agriculture, architecture, tourism, even fashion and finance! ?? ? ?? Five years ago, I started on an inquiry: What about regenerative technology ??? ?? The Regenerative Technology Project aims to support the Tech ecosystem to co-create technologies that catalyze healthy living systems: ecological, societal, and economic. If you’re wondering what on earth this could even look like, see our site to browse 75 real-life examples. Embracing an ecological “systemic” approach would radically shift how we invest, design, build, and interact with tech, and how tech interacts with the world. ?? ? ?? The Project will initially support the ecosystem in three ways: 1. Education & Advisory 2. Technology Co-Creation 3. Community & Events. (We're also learning and will adapt as things evolve) ?? ? Proud to launch this work with the one and only Danielle Lanyard, who has been critical in bringing this research and digital platform into the world. And who brings authenticity and heart-centeredness, plus decades of experience in #sustainability and #tech. ?? Join us to cultivate the soil for regenerative tech!!!! ?? ???? #regeneration
