Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in January is a good time to let people know that the disease, while very serious, is largely preventable through HPV vaccination. Dr. Nicole Saint Clair of Regence BlueShield tells KIRO 7 that the HPV vaccine is recommended for girls and boys at age 11 or 12, and by age 26 if you didn't receive the vaccine at a younger age.
