Regen Governance Update: ERA - Ecosystem Regeneration Associates is proposing a new voluntary biodiversity credit type for Regen Network tokenholder consideration. ?? ?? ?? ?? Under this crediting protocol, one credit represents the stewardship of one hectare of umbrella species habitat in accordance to the metrics and interventions determined appropriate for each particular project. To apply this crediting protocol to a biodiversity conservation project, it is necessary to submit evidence of the presence of the chosen Umbrella Species in the Property Area, through monitoring methods such as camera traps, footprints, bioacoustics, eDNA, etc. Data and evidence must be collected and exhibited in the Monitoring Reports along with the adoption and implementation of the project interventions. The price of the credit is defined by the cost of conservation, meaning the annual costs of the interventions adopted. These costs must be transparently reported in the Monitoring Reports. These Monitoring Reports will be verified by an external auditor to ensure all procedures have been followed in accordance with the standards. Discuss: https://lnkd.in/gRkCBkm7

Regen Governance Alert: SeaTrees Proposal for Marine Ecosystem Restoration Credit Type ?? ?? ?? This is a proposal to add Marine Ecosystem Restoration (MER) as a new credit type to the list of approved credit types. This credit type will serve credit classes that issue practiced-based credits to restore biodiversity in marine ecosystems. Credit classes for Mangrove, Coral and Kelp restoration projects will launch this fall using the new SeaTrees Crediting Protocol. MER credits issued from these credit classes will collectively be branded as “SeaTrees”.
