An underrated benefit of AI Voice Agents is their ability to keep #KeepCalmAndCarryOn in heated situations. Humans naturally mirror each other's emotional states, so when a customer isn’t getting what they want, a sales or customer service call can quickly devolve into an unproductive exchange when emotions take over. Human agents then carry over the emotional baggage of previous calls to the next. Note true for #AI. Regal.ai's AI Phone Agents start every interaction fresh and handle even the most difficult situations with a calm and measured approach. They can express empathy when appropriate — such as acknowledging a frustrating experience or exhibiting excitement for a customer’s life event — but they won’t get overwhelmed by emotions like a human might…because they don’t actually have feelings that get hurt or biases that get triggered. This helps keep calls on track and productive. ?? Here’s the data to back it up: 1?? In an A/B test between human agents and AI agents for an education company: - AI Agent sentiment was 93% positive, 7% neutral - Human Agent sentiment was 69% positive, 28% neutral, and 3% negative 2?? Not all AI Agents are created equal: - AI agent sentiment across 3 different versions of an AI agent - in a health insurance qualification use case - produced different distributions of sentiment. - Changes to the AI agent voice, latency and prompt led to a 25 percentage point improvement in sentiment from v1 to v3 in a matter of hours. E.g., giving instructions to “Acknowledge the customer’s response before continuing”, specifying a friendly persona for the agent, adding specific handling for more sensitive cases, etc. We’re still in the early innings of #AIPhoneAgents in contact centers, but their human-like conversational style (unlike an IVR) and ability to keep infinite composure (unlike a human agent) has the potential to drive significant revenue/cost savings for sales and support contact centers. #ContactCenterLeaders: How much revenue would you estimate has been lost due to heated customer interactions that go awry in your contact center?
