And that’s a wrap with our research study at Mount Miguel High School. I am going to miss working with all of the participating students in the MedConnect and Interact clubs on a weekly basis. I wish my arms were long enough to envelop the subset of the participants in this picture. Their body language speaks volumes in how we all connected with each other during this study. I am looking forward to analyzing the post-assessment data as students provided feedback on the numerous life skills they learned in The Resilience Game Plan research study. These students are now resilient changemakers who have: - a growth mindset - strong interpersonal communication skills - the ability to work collaboratively in school and work environments. - their knowledge gaps filled to turn these life skills into automatic habits - the desire to become life-long learners who find real life applications for their new knowledge. These learners also have an appreciation of their bidirectional relationship with nature and how nature can help heal them (e.g., sunlight and grounding), and in turn they must help regenerate and restore their climate and surrounding environments. Oh, the places these future leaders will go…and as one of their mentors, I will be one of their biggest cheerleaders ????????????.

Another wonderful session at Mount Miguel High School as part of our research study. Students were encouraged to pay attention to how individuals communicate with them because it is likely their “Preferred Method of Communication” and therefore the best way to communicate with this particular person in social and work environments.
