The City of Roswell is taking another major step toward the establishment of its new Public Safety Headquarters, funded by voter-approved bond dollars! During the Committees of Council meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Roswell City Council indicated unanimous support for the award of a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract to Reeves & Young for the renovation of the Summit Office Buildings at 1080 Holcomb Bridge Road, which will house administrative offices for Roswell’s Police and Fire departments. The final vote on the CMAR contract approval will take place during the Mayor and City Council meeting on Monday, March 24, 2025. Roswell’s new Public Safety Headquarters is a crucial part of the City’s ongoing commitment to support first responders and enhance safety and responsiveness within the community. This week's #histoRY post takes us to the Clear Creek Chemical System Improvements project, where Reeves Young delivered critical upgrades in 2017 to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Instead of replacing tanks, we refurbished four existing ones—extending the warranty from two to ten years and saving time and money. We also replaced chemical feed piping and valves, upgraded pumps and Foxboro controls, repaired concrete and coatings, improved flow monitoring at seven facilities, and rehabilitated drum screens at Custer Avenue CSCF. This project reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainable, long-term solutions that strengthen and protect water resources for the communities we serve.

This week’s #histoRY post takes us to the Sandy Springs Fire Station No. 5, completed in 2023. Reeves Young provided CMAR services for the 10,192 SF station, uniquely designed to blend with the residential character of the neighborhood. The two-story facility includes a two-bay drive-through, apparatus storage, dayroom and living areas, kitchen, dining area, sleeping quarters, and a fitness room with a climbing wall. It also features gear wash stations with state-of-the-art decontamination equipment, supporting the health and safety of first responders. #whyRY
