It doesn’t matter who wins the Presidency or Congress in 2024. Why? We have major divisions on many political topics, and they will only get worse with the partisan politicians who win their political races. Our political landscape is often marred by the winners' unattainable promises, made to sway an emotionally charged electorate. What we truly need in governance are individuals adept at resolving conflicts. As I publish this video, the 2024 Presidential Election is one week away. I guess 30% of people are die-hard Trump fans, while 30% are die-hard Harris fans. As for the rest of us, we'd rather have a different choice. The United States has modified its election process throughout the years, but we still need to tweak our system of self-government to get it right. This video illustrates what it will take to honor the self-government ideal and make better selections for presidential candidates. You will see two ways employees elect a CEO to lead their company. One way shows how to get the results we are currently getting with our highly polarizing primary/general election process. I will illustrate a second way that shows how employees can elect a CEO who does a great job leading their company to prosperity. We can do the same for the United States of America. It won't be easy, and it will require a great deal of effort on the part of the people. However, if we genuinely want self-government, it's worth the effort. We seem to have become very polarized to the point that there are no undecided voters. Most align themselves with a political party or ideology. What about you?

Why do we fight? Most people want to live in peace. However, we are destined to fight one war after the other, killing millions of people, destroying infrastructure, and investing money that could be spent on more productive endeavors. WHY? I suppose we can claim that the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the two World Wars served a specific purpose in advancing our country in a good way. Even though the death tolls were high, we can claim that we got some value for that high price. The Cold War saw the Berlin Wall's fall and a partial fall of communism. Other than that, many of our war efforts in Vietnam, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe have been dubious. It is reasonable to ask if we should engage in war at all. Why not let countries destroy each other? Why should we care? Wouldn’t we be much better off investing military funding in new inventions, space exploration, or anything else than blowing up buildings and people? The United States economy has had a rocky ride in the past several years. Young people have been pushed out of the housing marketplace, and middle—and low-income earners have fallen behind on their bills. Republicans blame the Biden Administration for inflation and the economic hardship of millions of Americans. Democrats claim that Donald Trump sabotaged our economy long before they took charge. What if Democrats and Republicans and not to blame? The Federal Reserve, or FED, controls the economic past, present, and future of the United States. Our economic indicators are oscillating wildly, and we tend to blame our economy, the pandemic, world trade, or unrest in the Middle East. I am a controls engineer. I can spot an out-of-control control loop a mile away. That is what I see with our Federal Reserve. This video will describe how our economic woes are manipulated by a single source that will operate the same way regardless of which political party is in control. If the FED continues on its current course, these oscillations will become more pronounced and more painful for most Americans. If we decide to control the FED… …we will reduce income inequality. …we will end inflation. …we can invest instead of gamble. …our government will be fiscally responsible. …we can plan our economic future. We can regain the control of our economy once again. Inflation is a nasty thing. We are all paying more for everything we buy. Recently, Kamala Harris has promised to implement price controls to stop companies from gouging consumers. While this is attractive to those who believe that companies are gouging consumers, it is the wrong solution chasing the wrong problem. This video will explain why price controls don't work. It also explains why companies cannot gouge consumers in a free market. The government's role in a free market is to ensure competition is present. If competition is fair, gouging cannot happen. Inflation is caused by too much money chasing too few goods. The government can slow demand through monetary and fiscal policy. However, those controls tend to be painful, causing unemployment to rise and making it difficult for borrowers to borrow. This video will explain the cause and effect of inflation and offer ways to defeat it without continuing the cycle of inflation and recessions.
