I have become fast friends with Nick over the past few months. He's another young entrepreneur who I have met through his involvement with The Economic Club of Miami. I have been really blown away by a new technology that his company,?Reef Arches, is employing to tackle beach erosion. I also believe it will not only help save our beautiful coastlines, but also have ripple effects throughout the economy, including the insurance market. Nick is also an example of someone who was entrepreneurial within a larger company first -- Hedrick Brothers Construction. He conceived of the idea and they were open to it. It is now an entirely separate division within their larger company, complete with new patents for the design!
