Meet our Field Operations Team: David Crane Dave’s construction journey started 20 years ago when his uncle introduced him to the industry. From learning demolition to leading major projects, he’s been with Reed ever since—ensuring smooth operations, safety compliance, and an unmatched customer experience. Proudest Contribution: Leading the CDH NICU project, where his team carefully relocated life-support power systems—without incident—giving fragile newborns a better chance at life. Favorite Work Memory: Cookouts on-site with his uncle’s crew—grilling, sharing laughs, and taking a break from the chaos of the job. Throwback Thursday to that time we orchestrated a helicopter lift at 123 N Wacker in the heart of Chicago’s CBD! This 35-story high-rise needed new emergency generator and smoke evacuation systems, but the glass-domed atrium at the top made standard access impossible. After comparing an elaborate scaffolding approach, we decided a helicopter lift was the safest, most efficient solution—closing portions of Randolph and Wacker for less than an hour to hoist the massive HVAC fan units into place. #ThrowbackThursday #BuildingTheNextGenerationOfExtraordinary #Construction?
