Hall of Flowers Cannabis Industry update - day 2 (Btw, you can see my Day 1 recap on my page.) Day 2 at HOF was meaningful for me and Ganjier. Highlights included: - Spending time with Kevin Jodrey, who I call “the smartest man in cannabisâ€, talking cultivation, genetics, and the rich history that got us here. His talk with Todd McCormick was really fun and fascinating. I just feel like you could watch Kev speak for hours and remain fascinated if you’re interested in cannabis. - Connecting with Jocelyn Sheltraw and Claudio Miranda of Budist to solidify how we’ll work together to educate the world about cannabis. Big announcement coming soon! - Hearing from Creighton Calloway, a new Ganjier Product Specialist, who said: “Everyone took me more seriously once I became a Ganjier. It’s made a huge impact on my career.†We love hearing about the impact Ganjier has had on your live, so to everyone in the community, please keep sharing your stories! - Hearing about two new cannabis stores opened in NY by my good friend Vladimir Bautista!! Watching him push for legal cannabis for 8+ years and finally see his dream manifest in the real world is so damn inspiring. Congrats my man! - Despite the tough market, there are still some incredible products out there — like the RSO tablets from Emerald Bay Extracts, the sun-grown work from Redwood Roots Distribution, and the exceptionally exotic outdoor flower from Green Shock. I was very impressed by this innovation and very high quality standards! A few things that made me sad: - The lack of wellness/medical brands in CA. The medical side of cannabis built this legalized industry, but it feels like that focus has slipped away. As someone who still primarily uses cannabis for medical / wellness reasons, this feels not good to me. - Surprising lack of edibles. Have established players crowded out new brands? Have hemp gummies taken market share? Would love to hear thoughts. To finish up… - The people who run cannabis are the best of the best… passionate, resilient, and tired, but still pushing forward. I love the people who are committed to this industry. It takes a certain type of crazy to endure the highs and lows here. But so good seeing you all. Let’s keep building this wild and crazy cannabis industry together. I continue to believe in the power of the plant! Your thoughts on any of this? Much love, Max Hats off Rama Mayo for another great experience. I will most definitely be back. #cannabisindustry #HOF #reflections
