Small efforts. Big impact. REDM is more than just an organization. It’s a movement – of people just like you. We’re passionate about seeing lives transformed in the aftermath of sexual exploitation. We exist because we believe that sex trafficking survivors deserve more than rescue. They deserve restoration. More than survival, they are overcomers. That’s why we partner with nonprofit organizations that provide the resources and therapeutic interventions survivors need to successfully transition out of survival mode and into...well...LIFE. REDM is a network of highly skilled individuals who volunteer their services on behalf of these life-transforming organizations. We specialize in building positive event experiences to generate funds and education on the realities in our society of sext trafficking and helping victims become overcomers. We also connect willing professionals with those who need their particular skills most, leveraging the power of crowdsourcing to amplify their impact on survivors’ lives. We believe that wherever nonprofits need help, there are people passionate and skilled enough to make a difference. And together, we’re making the future a little brighter for our community – one small effort at a time.

    #redMonday Navigating ?????????? ?????????????????????????? with our kids can feel a bit like preparing for a boardroom grilling session. ?? Full of anticipation. ?? ???????????? ??????????????. Scared to say ?????? ???????? or ?????? ????????????. As co-founders of our families, we often find ourselves in positions where we have to answer some pretty challenging questions. ?????? ???????? ?????? ???????? - where you have to will the blood back into your face and command your jaw to return to normal position. A question that will catch us off guard is when our kids ask about serious issues like human trafficking. They might have seen the hotline posters in public restrooms or seen signs like these prominently displayed in school pick-up zones. In those moments, we're faced with the challenge of explaining something incredibly complex and sensitive to young minds that are curious and eager to understand their world. We might grapple with how to address such a topic, especially when our little ones are still in elementary school. The key, as with any important conversation, is to begin: ???? ?????????? ?????? ????????????????, no matter how difficult it seems. It's less about delivering the perfect answer and more about opening a line of communication focused on their safety and well-being. These conversations provide an opportunity to discuss personal safety and empower our kids with knowledge. They can learn simple yet effective safety measures, such as memorizing mom and dad's cell phone numbers in case of emergency. We can also reinforce that classic advice about not talking to strangers and perhaps even introduce a family safe word to be used when someone other than a parent needs to pick them up unexpectedly. I have to say, the safe word that my kids chose is hilarious. ?? The most important thing to remember that these discussions shouldn't be one-offs. They need to be ongoing, evolving as our children grow and as their understanding deepens. We should aim to revisit these conversations early and often, incorporating practice and repetition to help reinforce the messages. Each discussion is a building block in helping our kids feel more aware and empowered. It's about providing them the tools to recognize unsafe situations and equipping them with strategies to stay safe. ?????? ???? ?????? ???????????????? ?????????? ?????????????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ???????????? ???????? ???????? ?????????????????
