Redi-Rock Structures of OKI

Ok, I know I said earlier this week we don't chase residential projects BUT we now have an awesome new product line that lends itself well to those types of projects (as well as commercial developments). Novum Wall. What is it? In short, it is a small(er) Redi-Rock block, close to the same dimensions, but half the height and weight. Best use? Gravity walls under 6' tall, as well as reinforced walls. What makes it special? While I am slightly biased to the Redi-Rock aesthetic, this stuff looks even more like natural stone. With it's weight being +/- 610 lbs, small excavators can lift it with ease. It is still wet cast, air entrained concrete, so do it once and be done with it. Novum also still utilizes the "knob and groove" system making radii and corners a breeze. Here are some before and after's of a project we did late last year in Ft Thomas. We often get asked about utilities and structures behind our walls, and our answer is typically, "Let's see how we can work around or even with them!" Per usual, it is easier to show this with pictures. On this project we have a gravity wall that is 12' tall (at tallest point). We were able to utilize our XL blocks to minimize the cut back into the roadway that the wall will be supporting. As you can see there was a manhole structure in the footprint of the wall. Due to the variety of block sizes and design parameters, we were able to accommodate that obstruction and the installer (Surgent Construction) was able to continue building. This is just one example of many where we have been able to be creative in the use of our blocks to make a wall work. Do you have a job where a wall "won't work"?
