Locally, Bunny has held a number of positions including Disaster Action Team (DAT) member, DAT Manager, caseworker, casework supervisor and instructor, blood ambassador, and currently is a Community Volunteer Leader (CVL) for Yavapai Community. Bunny has experience as a paralegal in a corporate law department, supporting employees across 14 states and assisting with dispute resolution. She also worked on a two-year research project reviewing state and federal statutes. Previously, she was in corporate safety and security, handling facility protection, fraud investigations, and subpoena production requests for attorneys, customers, and law enforcement. Bunny enjoys travel, sewing, reading, history, and mentoring. She moved to Arizona from New York in 1977 and retired in 1999 to the home she and her husband built in Prescott. Together with community leaders, medical experts, and passionate advocates, we discussed the challenges patients face, the importance of blood donation in managing the disease, and how we can work together to increase awareness and donor engagement. A special thank you to Yvette Miller, MD, ABIHM for sharing her invaluable insights and expertise. Your dedication to improving outcomes for sickle cell patients is truly inspiring!
