?? Last week, our Disaster Services Technology (DST) team played a critical role in ensuring seamless communication and connectivity during the Palo Verde Drill. From setting up FirstNet hotspots for shelter teams to register clients to providing radios for disaster leadership—our skilled volunteers made sure every team had the tech support needed to respond effectively. We also put our backup communication protocols to the test, maintaining contact between the Regional Coordination Center (RCC), our Phoenix HQ, the Tucson chapter, and even the Southern California Region from our Mobile Communications Unit. A huge thank you to our incredible DST volunteers for keeping us connected and mission-ready! Your expertise ensures that when disaster strikes, we’re ready to respond.

Bunny’s experience in LSAP gave her opportunities to learn about the many activities needed for the Red Cross to fulfill its mission of helping those in need. Locally, Bunny has held a number of positions including Disaster Action Team (DAT) member, DAT Manager, caseworker, casework supervisor and instructor, blood ambassador, and currently is a Community Volunteer Leader (CVL) for Yavapai Community. Bunny has experience as a paralegal in a corporate law department, supporting employees across 14 states and assisting with dispute resolution. She also worked on a two-year research project reviewing state and federal statutes. Previously, she was in corporate safety and security, handling facility protection, fraud investigations, and subpoena production requests for attorneys, customers, and law enforcement. Bunny enjoys travel, sewing, reading, history, and mentoring. She moved to Arizona from New York in 1977 and retired in 1999 to the home she and her husband built in Prescott.
