This year, we’re taking a new approach to “swag” at the trade show! Instead of handing out traditional items, we’re giving attendees a wooden chip valued at $10. They’ll then have the opportunity to choose which organization (Girls Build, World Forestry Center, and Oregon Food Bank) they'd like to donate it to. We're excited to see where this partnership could lead!
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting with daniel sissom who manages BoulderMod - a new modular factory that has formed out of a partnership between Habitat for Humanity, the City of Boulder, and the Boulder Valley School District. This partnership is very exciting for a few reasons: ?? A First for Habitat for Humanity – This marks the organization's first modular home-building facility. ?? Hands-On Student Training – Boulder Valley High School students will gain real-world experience, working alongside licensed contractors to learn various trades. Students will be involved in every phase of home production, from reading blueprints and shop drawings to framing and construction—all as part of their curriculum. This initiative is shaping the next generation of skilled builders while addressing the need for affordable housing. We're excited to see how RedBuilt, LLC can help support this effort!
