In an industry-first, Redbloom Health's gut-healthy chili crisp has achieved HSA/FSA eligibility, marking a significant milestone in the health food sector
Last week Redbloom Health's gut-healthy chili crisp became the first sauce in the world to achieve HSA/FSA eligibility - YES, IBS sufferers can use pre-tax funds to purchase Redbloom, just like supplements and meds. I still can’t believe we actually pulled this off. After the Momofuku incident, I didn’t think we had enough resources left to launch our clinical protocols (capsaicin therapy) and bring the accessibility our community truly deserved. This brings us one step closer to making Redbloom more accessible to the gut health community. I know, we are priced premium to justify our R&D, quality ingredients, and complex manufacturing process. 1 tbsp of Redbloom requires cold-pressing 4 avocados and 1 coconut - this is 10x more expensive than seed oils... and it pains me every day to hear customers not being able to afford Redbloom long-term. That's why I’m especially grateful for everyone’s support to push us this far. Redbloom was born from my personal battle with IBS. As an Asian-American, losing the ability to eat spicy food, garlic, and onion due to IBS felt like losing a part of my identity and culture. In China, chili crisp is the most popular condiment, and I wanted to create something equally special for the gut health and AAPI community. Thank you so much to our medical advisors Rani B., Nina Liu and marketing advisor Jen Wan for guiding us through this hail mary endeavor. Today, we saw a glimpse of what Redbloom could become. The functional food-as-medicine era is here, and we're not stopping - providers, we're coming for you.
