Red River Valley Alliance (RRVA) is a consortium of developers charged with developing, designing, construction, operating and maintaining the stormwater diversion channel of the Fargo Moorhead Area Diversion project. The lead members of the public-private partnership agreement include ACCIONA, Shikun & Binui USA and the North American Construction Group. RRVA is responsible for the construction of the stormwater diversion channel and the necessary associated infrastructure including bridges, railway crossings, inlets, outlet and aqueducts, plus operation and maintenance for 30 years upon completion. The stormwater diversion channel and associated infrastructure portion of the FM Area Diversion project features not one but TWO aqueducts to carry the Maple and Sheyenne Rivers over the channel. This is no small feat! Plus, the aqueducts will have a heated low flow channel enabling ?? fish passage ?? even in the coldest winter months. It's incredibly cold outside, but things are heating up at the Maple River Aqueduct. ASN Constructors and a few subcontractors have been working on different aspects of the project. Woody's Rebar is handling - you guessed it - rebar work, Meyer Contracting is working on the wing walls, and Parsons Electric is getting work started for the heated portions of the structure.
