  • Congratulations to 17 Red River team members who recently completed the Level I Professional Development Program! The 5-week program is intended to target professionals who strive to be leaders and introduces participants to core principles and values. The program is also used to build skills like communication, problem solving, and team building. The special speaker for the ceremony, RRAD Commander COL Denis J. Fajardo, addressed the graduates on the importance of professional development. "Progress requires two key components: the ability to do more and the willpower to make it happen," he said. "Not everyone possesses both, but you all do, and I appreciate you for taking the opportunity to grow—both for yourselves and for the organization." COL Fajardo presented certificates of completion following his remarks. Graduates of the program are: Jeffrey Brown, Jessica Brown, Benny Byers, Habiba Casteel, Anthony Cellers, Tara Cockrum, Clifton English, Gaylon Foster, Donna Hutchinson, James Johnston, Rodney Long, Amanda Martin, Jacob Martinez, Charles Ray, Timothy Scoggin, Justin Smith, and Caleb Woodruff. Mistress of Ceremony for the graduation was Ginger Shirley. The Professional Development Program is managed by the depot’s Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD) Office under the Directorate for Resource Management.

  • ????#TeamRedRiver Inspires Future Innovators ???? Yesterday, we teamed up with 5th grade engineering students at TISD - Morriss Elementary! ???? The students are designing and building lunar rovers powered by mousetraps. As part of their curriculum, teachers aim to connect classroom learning to real-world applications. That’s where we come in. RRAD team members Steve Starrett, logistics management specialist and Ben Moore, mechanical engineer, showcased the depot’s work in repairing and rebuilding wheeled and tracked vehicles. The students were highly engaged and asked numerous questions about Red River's capabilities. #TeamRedRiver | #STEMEducation | #FutureEngineers

  • It’s #TeamMemberTuesday and time for us to spotlight one of our amazing employees! Today, we shine the spotlight on Thelma Sims who has been a part of #TeamRedRiver for over 20 years! Thelma, who currently works as a tool control officer in our Inventory Management Division, understands how important her daily duties are to the work the depot carries out for the Warfighter. “Many people overlook the significance of this job until they find themselves on the other end of a phone call with a loved one who’s serving on the front lines,” she said. “Imagine the impact of hearing them say, ‘I was just in a Humvee (HMMWV) with a Red River sticker on it.’ It’s moments like these that truly highlight the profound connection and importance of this role.” Thank you, Thelma, for your continued contributions to our depot! #BeAllYouCanBe #TeamMemberTuesday #EmployeeSpotlight

  • It’s #TeamMemberTuesday and time for us to spotlight one of our amazing employees! Today, we shine the spotlight on Jason Irwin who has been a part of #TeamRedRiver for eight years! Jason is a Firefighter/EMT within our Directorate for Emergency Servies and is highly committed to his responsibilities as a part of the Red River team. “Supporting the Warfighter is key when it comes to being a Red River Firefighter,” he said. “In order to maintain that level of performance, a Red River Firefighter must prioritize the protection of life and property so that the operation supporting the Warfighter remains intact. As Red River Firefighters, we strengthen depot operations by offering lifesaving classes that equip personnel with essential techniques to sustain life until Firefighter personnel can take over.” As a part of our fire department team, Jason works to ensure that the facilities and more importantly, the people are always safe. “Fire prevention is the cornerstone of our fire protection efforts, achieved through pre-fire inspections that ensure operational safety within facilities and that buildings meet fire safety standards,” he said. “With these key supports in place, we ensure that personnel at Red River Army Depot have the necessary tools to support fire protection operations, creating a safe environment for all.” Thank you, Jason, for your continued contributions to our depot! #BeAllYouCanBe #TeamMemberTuesday
